I’m Chef Patrice! Founder & Owner of Damn Good Vegan.

Even at ten years old I already knew who I wanted to be!

I have been cooking since I was 10 Years old! Cooking is definitely in my blood. My granny Martha was a butcher and she was the best cook! She was so good that my dad was a little chubby boy because he loved his mother's cooking so much!

Cooking helped my mom teach me math while being homeschooled!

I was homeschooled for around eight years and my mom was having a hard time teaching me math so a teacher told her to teach me how to cook and it worked! Really well!

I would cook for my family and I fell in love watching Emeril Lagasse on the Food Network! My dad was always making interesting things like fried eggplant and duck with orange sauce and tripe.

I’ve always worked at jobs that allowed me to work with food!

The first job I had was at Six Flags and I worked in the kitchen for 3 summers. I had a couple of jobs working in fast food as a teenager and I worked at the Olive garden for a few years.

I attended Sullivan University in Louisville Kentucky for Culinary Arts and I got to cook for the Kentucky Derby while I was there!

Back in Cleveland and Teaching now!

I started working at Bravo as a prep cook and I worked my way up to a line cook.

I began teaching cooking classes at Sur La Table, I went from working at a local Lebanese restaurant, Taza, to landing a job at Whole Foods as a cook.
